Call for Abstracts

Cereals&Europe, in collaboration with the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, is calling for abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations at the 17th EYCSTW.

Make plans now to join the vibrant cereal science community between April 18-20, 2018 to present your work, network with peers and learn from industry experts. This year, the workshop will be hosted by the Warsaw University of Life Sciences WULS – SGGW, which is the largest agricultural university in Poland.

The European Young Cereal Scientists and Technologists Workshop (EYCSTW) is designed to include subject categories such as, but not limited to cereal processing, product quality, analytical techniques, sensory, nutrition and health and novel specialist ingredients.

The EYCSTW is a platform for young research scientists to exchange with their peers on the latest research in cereal science. We encourage young research scientists (PhD students and Post Docs) to submit an abstract for their planned contribution.
Over the years, the success of the event has been built around a balance between educational sessions and social/networking opportunities.

Oral and poster presentations will be organized in a series of subjects related to cereal sciences and applications, including keynote lectures from senior speakers as well as factory visits and social events.

The Host institution

Warsaw University of Life Sciences WULS-SGGW is one of the oldest and the largest universities in Poland. With over 1,300 university teachers and instructors, the university consists of 13 faculties where 27,000 students are enrolled. WULS-SGGW has been declared number one in the rankings of life science universities in Poland, and has always been in the top of Polish universities.
The Faculty of Human Nutrition and Consumer Sciences was founded in 1977. It has been the first faculty directly focused on human nutrition in Poland. Nowadays the Faculty has more than 120 staff members and enrolls more than 1500 students. The Faculty offers the three-stage studies programs in the field of food technology and human nutrition; dietetics and gastronomy and hotel management. Among the fields of study, you can find nutrition assessment of selected population groups; design and development of sensory quality, nutritional value, and physicochemical properties of food.

Registration fees

Registration fees will be 250 € for C&E members or 275 € for non C&E members (includes 1-year membership to C&E), and covers accommodation, transport during event, book of abstracts, meals and social events.
