St. Paul, Minn. (April 30, 2007) — AACC International’s Student Division will be hosting its annual silent auction during the AACC International Annual Meeting. The meeting will take place October 7-10, 2007 in San Antonio, TX.

The silent auction, coordinated by the student division, has been an annual meeting tradition for 15 years. This exciting event benefits the AACC International Foundation, which provides annual undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships to students in studies relevant to grain-based food science and technology. More than $70,000 has been raised.

Donations are currently being accepted for the silent auction. Items requested are fun corporate novelties, crafted items, gift baskets, sporting and event tickets, or company’s products or services. Unique items are encouraged to stimulate bidding. All donations are tax-deductible where applicable.

To donate, e-mail Karen Deuschle (kdeuschle@scisoc.org) at AACC International headquarters indicating your willingness to contribute. Donations must be received at AACC International headquarters by September 15, 2007 or brought directly to the annual meeting in San Antonio.
