Cereals&Europe to Hold Spring Meeting in France

St. Paul, Minn. (January 15, 2007) - Cereals&Europe, AACC International’s European Section, will hold the section’s first-ever Spring Meeting, May 2-4, 2007 at the Le Corum Conference Centre in Montpellier, France.

During the two-day event, the European cereals community will come together to learn about important consumer drivers for buying cereal products. Attendees will have opportunities to learn from experts who will discuss the latest science and technologies deployed to meet consumers’ expectations.

The Opening Plenary Session will outline the major challenges the cereals industry is facing today in view of its consumers’ demands and expectations. The meeting’s technical program will feature two session tracks—a science track and a technology track.

The Science Track will offer information on how to translate nutritional issues into raw material, processing, and product requirements; the resulting technological requirements and how best to meet these requirements. The Technology Track will focus on new processes, ingredients, and final products. A Concluding Plenary Session will combine information from both tracks, leading to discussions on the future of the grains industry.

Technical posters and exhibits will provide attendees with additional opportunities to explore the latest technology and research.

Visit www.cerealsandeurope.net for more information including the preliminary program schedule and registration information. The advance registration deadline is February 28, 2007.

AACC International is an organization of professionals who contribute to the research, development, and processing of grains and grain-based products.
