Description of Officer Positions

ELIGIBILITY

All students hoping to take up officer positions should be AACCI members and should not be graduating in that academic year. Additionally, Chair and Vice Chair positions are reserved for at least one-time attendees and previous holders of any officer position in AACCISA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Division Chair  

Maintain the focus and direction of the association, officially represent the organization, help organize and attend all meetings and activities, coordinate the efforts of other officers and lead general meetings.

Vice Chair  

Assist the chair in the administration of his/her duties, and officially represent the organization in the absence of the chair.

Secretary/Treasurer

Responsible for all financial activities, including record keeping, account management, and communication of all financial matters with other officers.

Responsible for organizing, planning, and coordinating all fundraising events. This officer will work very closely with the Product Development Competition Chair to keep a record of all fundraising activities.

 

Also responsible for organizing Caryopsis newsletter and acting as a liaison between the student association and AACCI Headquarters.


Product Development Competition Chair

Responsible for organizing and coordinating the Product Development Competition. Responsible for seeking sponsorship to funds competition and awards.

Product Development Competition Vice Chair 

Assist the PDC chair in his/her roles and responsibilities.

Online Communicator

Responsible for dissemination of announcements related to any organizational activity, record keeping during all meetings and activities. Also keeps record and updates from our Facebook page and twitter account.

 

AACCI Board Student Representative

Responsible for attending all AACCI Board of Director meetings. This officer is also responsible for informing the organization of all pertinent information and proceedings from the AACCI Board meetings.

 

Student Association Area/University Reps.

Officially represent AACCISA on their campus or area. This officer is also responsible for dissemination of announcements related to any organizational activity to his/her campus/area, and creating an awareness/presence of AACCISA there.

 

All leadership positions are responsible for regularly checking the student division gmail account and maintaining communication with the Student Division, AACCI, and headquarters staff throughout the duration of their term.
