Designed experiments are frequently set with both qualitative and quantitative independent variables. Different approaches to analyze data from such designed experiments will be discussed. Procedures will include using trends to compare treatments instead of the treatment means; using a coded independent variable as a covariate; and when appropriate evaluating the interaction component using repeated measure procedures.
