9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Price: $60

Highlighting Montréal's history, cultural heritage, cosmopolitan nature and European flavor, this overview of Montréal includes: Montréal's vibrant, multi-faceted downtown; Old Montréal's rich architectural and historical legacy; the islands of Ile Notre-Dame and Ile Ste-Hélène; Mount Royal Park; Montréal's leading museums; and Westmount, Montréal's elegant upper class community. The tour will include a stop at the summit of Mount Royal Park for a panoramic view of Montréal and the surrounding region, and a guided visit of Old Montréal's 3,000-seat Notre-Dame Basilica, whose outstanding neo-gothic architecture and art rivals Europe's finest cathedrals.

Following a 3-course light gourmet lunch at Weinstein & Gavinos, in the heart of downtown Montréal, you'll be "going underground." The Underground Tour includes the "Metro," one of the cleanest and safest subway systems in the world, referred to as the world's largest art gallery due to the varied art found throughout. The 65 stations were designed by distinguished architects and artists, with no two stations alike.

The central downtown portion of Montréal's underground city contains over 1,200 stores. At the conclusion of the tour, return with your guide to the Palais des Congrés, or stay and shop till you drop! See #2 on registration form.

Old Montréal and the Montréal Botanical Gardens
Lunch is included.
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Price : $55

Departing the Palais des Congrés on foot, discover Old Montréal's history and charm as you explore its maze of cobblestone lanes lined with boutiques, art galleries, handicrafts shops and European-style cafés and bistros. The largest concentration of 17th, 18th and 19th century buildings in North America, this remarkable collection of architecture was home to North America's original explorers and traders. Featured on this guided tour are the beautiful restoration projects that have revitalized the Old Port, City Hall, early marketplaces, historical homes, churches and Place Jacques-Cartier, site of 17th century skirmishes and now a centre of lively street life. Following a three-course light gourmet lunch at Chez Queux, in the heart of the Old Quarter, you'll board your motorcoach for the transfer to the Montréal Botanical Garden, the second most important collection in the world after London's Kew Garden. Comprising 180 acres, the Botanical Garden features 26,000 species and variety of flora, displayed in more than 30 garden settings and 10 exhibition greenhouses. Today's highlights will include the stunning display of prized orchids (over 700 species), North America's largest and most elegant bonsai collection, the serenity, and refined beauty of the expansive Japanese garden and pavilion, not to mention the Ming Dynasty inspired Chinese Garden, offering 16 landscapes covering six acres, the largest display of its kind outside of Asia. During your visit in October, the Gardens will be featuring a display of over 600 Chinese silk lanterns of all shapes and sizes, handcrafted by Shanghai artists and shipped to Montréal by boat. See #3 on registration form.
