Internships are a competitive advantage for both the intern and the sponsoring organization. In this very competitive marketplace, internships can provide the edge organizations need to identify and secure top talent and the edge students need to secure placement in their job of choice. To do this both parties need to rethink their objectives and goals regarding internships and shape the experience to ensure these outcomes.
