The market for nutraceuticals is growing, especially since the 1994 Dietary Supplements Health and Education Act. Some companies are incorporating them into their products. Three nutraceuticals currently being used in products are ginseng, Ginkgo biloba, and echinacea. Standardized testing methods are needed and are being developed. Consumers see grain-based products as healthy foods, so these products are a natural choice for nutraceutical application.
