Invest in the Future...
Invest in the future of AACC International and the
grain-based food industry through the AACC International Foundation.
"After working for 10 years in the food industry, returning to school to complete my Ph.D. was a difficult decision. The generous fellowship I received through AACC
International helped lessen the financial burden on my
family and made the decision easier. No other organization could bring me such pride with their recognition."

AACC International Foundation Recipient |
The AACC International Foundation supports programs and projects
of vital interest to Association members. At this time, Foundation
activities are focused on investing in the future of our industry by
providing
scholarships and fellowships for students
excelling in relevant curricula.
Major Foundation projects are 1) to build a general or
unrestricted scholarship endowment fund from contributions of any
amount, to provide a permanent source of income for scholarships and
fellowships; 2) to accept permanent endowment of scholarships or
fellowships from major donors; and 3) to accept annual contributions
for specific scholarships and fellowships from major donors
Thanks to the continued efforts of AACC International members and
corporate donors, endowed funds to date are more than $500,000. The
Foundation's goal is to raise an additional $100,000 in endowed
funds each year.
Since the formation of the Foundation, many individual AACC
International members, as well as corporate members, have made
contributions for the future of our profession and our industry.
There are many ways in which you can
participate in the AACC International Foundation.
Join your colleagues by designating your
donations in any of the following ways:
- An unrestricted contribution in any amount to assist in building
the general endowment fund, the income from which is available for
scholarships and fellowships.
- Contributions of $1,000 or more for a specific scholarship or
fellowship in your or your
company's name for
one year.
- A one-time contribution to support a specific annual scholarship
in your name or a name of your selection permanently in the amount
of $1,000 annually per $20,000 contributed.
- A bequest by will to fund
any one or more of the above alternatives.
Your contribution may be tax deductible. AACC International is a
501(c)(3) organization, qualified to accept tax deductible
contributions during donor lifetime or bequests by will. Consult
your tax adviser on how the current law applies to you.

The Foundation is establishing the
Joseph Warthesen Young Professional Symposia Endowment Fund. Joe
was a long time AACC International member and past president. He was
a tireless volunteer on many Association activities and wonderful
friend to so many colleagues. A recipient of many university
teaching awards, Joe taught more than 2,500 students the principles
of food chemistry, food analysis, and related topics. He was often
called on for advice on such subjects as food processing, and his
research covered topics ranging from innovative methods of food
analysis to ways to prevent bitter taste in cheddar cheese. This
endowment will fund an annual Joseph Warthesen Symposia designed by
and for young professionals at the Annual Meetings. The funds will
enable the young professional committee to organize and pay for
speaker expenses associated with the event as well as other
potential activities for young professionals.
