We currently have a career opportunity for a Director of QA & Regulatory Compliance to spearhead our QA program.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of QA & Regulatory Compliance is responsible for developing and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals. Initiates, develops, and subsequently maintains effective quality and sanitation programs to ensure that products produced at the plants meets or exceeds the customer’s, corporate, and regulator’s expectations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Formulating and establishing QA company policies, operating procedures and goals.
  • Analyzing and evaluating information concerning: business situations, new products, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and economic trends.
  • Coordinating GMP/HAACP programs, sanitation program, site security, and mirco results and procedures.
  • Assisting sales and production in developing products from customer specifications and samples.
  • Supervising evaluation of GMP’s, sanitation procedures and plant audit procedures.
  • Overseeing the company’s QA system for compliance with legal requirements, a long with shipping and packaging facilities for specified standards.
  • Participating in regulatory, customer, external and internal audits.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Food Science/related field or Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of plant level QA Manager experience in a multi-faceted food environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years supervisory and work experience in Quality Assurance combined with a demonstrated track-record of accomplishments as a Quality Assurance Manger.
  • Knowledge of all regulatory policies, current trends in food safety/quality, HACCP, GMP and SOP’s.
  • Experience with FDA, USDA, EPA and international Quality Systems rules and regulations including planning and implementation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, in addition to exemplary interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment.
