Land O'Lakes International Development

Land O’Lakes draws on its extensive network of internal and external resources to provide technical assistance and training on its many international projects.
International Food Technology Consultant
Land O’Lakes International Development seeks an experienced food technologist to support its efforts to build capacity of the private sector food industry of the developing world to develop food products for commercial sale and humanitarian use. The consultant will lead cereal-based and other food product formulation to ensure the products meet the nutritional requirements of target groups, e.g., people living with HIV/AIDS, while retaining broad-based commercial appeal. The consultant should have experience with production technology, product cost analysis, quality control, packaging, and processing, preferably within the context of a developing country. The consultant shall work with producers to develop cereal-based and other food products; ensure they meet local food and safety standards; develop and monitor quality control procedures; conduct shelf-life and stability testing; and support ingredient procurement and production. The consultant should also be familiar with marketing and distribution.
This consultancy will require international travel to Africa.
