Welcome to the AACC International Approved Methods Online. This format allows the complete and most current 10th Edition to be

Second, it is necessary to have installed the Acrobat Reader software.
This free software is necessary to view, print, and navigate the methods documents. The Acrobat Reader version 4.0 is highly recommended. Also download the plug-ins that enable the Reader application to open within the viewing frame of your browser. If the Acrobat Reader (once installed) does not open when you select a particular method or does not open within the viewing frame, refer to the troubleshooting tips below.The latest Acrobat Reader software is available for free by clicking the link or the graphic below.

Navigating the Methods site. The Approved Methods online site is built with frames to facilitate an
integrated, easily navigated, fully linked, and fast loading product. The frame
at left is always available for navigation; the frame on the right is the
viewing frame. The "Chapters" link opens a file that contains
shortcuts to sections in the Table of Contents. Click any entry in the Table of
Contents to open and view a particular method. Methods that cite other methods contain hyperlinks (indicated with red text)
to the related documents. Also, methods with additional information on how to
obtain apparatus or reagents contain links (highlighted in yellow) to the
appropriate entry in the supplier's index. The Acrobat toolbar facilitates navigation and easy viewing. Below are short
descriptions of the more useful tools. Save As. Allows one to
save a particular Methods to a local drive. Please be aware, however, that copying a
method for another individual's use is not allowed by a single user
license. Print button Reduce/enlarge view. (Hold
this button down to reveal reduce and enlarge view options.) Select Text/Graphics.
(Hold this button down to reveal options for selecting lines or block of
text and to select graphics). Navigation arrows. Allow
the user to quickly navigate the pages of any one Method document. Find. Allows the user to
find a word or phrase within the text of any open Method document. Searching the Methods Click the "Search Methods" button in the navigation frame. Each
Method is indexed by number, title, chapter, as well as the full text of the
Method "objective." Type a term or combination of terms in the
search form field and press "GO". A list of titles is returned as a
result of your query. Click any

Troubleshooting the Acrobat Reader
If the Acrobat Reader does not open when you select a method, or if the Reader does open in the viewing frame, you may take the following steps to remedy the situation:
Internet Explorer Users:

Configuring Netscape 4.x to use Acrobat Reader as a helper

a. Type "Portable
Document Format." in the Description of Type
text box.
b. Type "pdf."
in the File Extension text box.
c. Type
"application/pdf." in the MIME Type text box.
d. Click Browse, then
locate the Acrobat Reader 3.0x or Acrobat 4.0x
application file and click Open. The path will then show in
Application to Use text box:
